GATE 2022: From how to apply to documents required; here's everything you need to know

Candidates interested in applying for the GATE 2022 can do so at gate.iitkgp.ac.in, the official GATE 2022 website. Candidates should keep in mind that they may fill out the application form until October 1, but there will be a late charge.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, is expected to complete the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 on Thursday (September 30, 2021).
Candidates interested in applying for the GATE 2022 can do so at gate.iitkgp.ac.in, the official GATE 2022 website. Candidates should keep in mind that they may fill out the application form until October 1, but there will be a late charge.

Candidates should also keep in mind that the GATE test 2022 will be held on February 5, 6, 12, and 13. Candidates must complete the registration form, attach the relevant papers, and pay the application cost to register for GATE 2022.

Except for ladies, SC/ST, and PwD applicants, the application cost is Rs 1500. Females, SC/STs, and those with disabilities must pay an application fee of Rs 750.

Step 1: Go to the IIT GATE 2022 official website at gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
Step 2: Navigate to the 'GATE 2022 Registration' link.
Step 3: You will be sent to a new window.
Step 4: Fill out the registration form on the new page with the proper information and click the'submit' button.
Step 5: Pay the registration cost and save the receipt for future reference.

Criteria for eligibility:
Students holding a government-accredited degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or the Arts are eligible to apply.
Students who have a certificate from any professional society recognised by the MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC are considered comparable.
Students with degrees such as BE, BTech, and BArch may apply.
To enrol, students studying outside of India must be in their third or higher year of their degree.

Here are all the documents needed:
- Candidate's (Applicant's) name
- A valid mobile phone number (the number should be functional)
- Email Address (the email Id should be functional)
- Parents' Names
- Scanned copies of educational diplomas (Check the dimensions and size)
- current picture scanned (to be submitted as per the required size)
- The applicant's scanned signature
 - A scan of one valid photo ID document, such as an Aadhaar card or a PAN card
- Certificate of Caste (if applicable)
- PwD credential (disability certificate if applicable)
