Temperatures Jump After Dry Spell

Delhi witnessed a noticeable rise in temperature after rainfall activity reduced on Wednesday. The maximum temperature climbed to 38.1°C, a significant increase from 33.3°C recorded a day earlier. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature settled at 23.8°C.

Over the last 24 hours, maximum temperatures across most parts of the capital increased by nearly 5°C. Moderate southwesterly winds blowing at 10-15 kmph were recorded during this period.

Mercury Likely to Rise Over Next Three Days

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies for Delhi on Thursday, with chances of light rain, thunderstorms and lightning. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 37°C and 39°C, while the minimum temperature may range between 25°C and 27°C.

Looking ahead, weather experts predict that daytime temperatures could rise by 3°C to 4°C over the next three days. Minimum temperatures are also likely to increase by 2°C to 4°C during the next five days. However, periodic rain and storm activity may prevent extreme heatwave-like conditions from developing across the region.
