Coronavirus: Single-day death toll rises to 54 in West Bengal; recovery rate at 93.18%

The COVID-19 cases in West Bengal is steadily increasing. According to the State Health Bulletin, the COVID-19 tally in the state rose to 4,80,813 on Sunday (November 29) as 3,367 more people tested positive for the infection.
 

54 people succumbed to the infection in a single day, pushing the state’s COVID-19 death toll to 8,376.

The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients in the state stands at 93.18 percent.

Kolkata reported the highest number of new cases at 826, followed by North 24 Parganas (814) and South 24 Parganas (233).

However, Kolkata and North 24 Parganas districts reported 13 fresh fatalities each, followed by South 24 Parganas (seven) and Howrah (five).
