Coronavirus: India reports highest spike of 83,883 COVID-19 cases in single day, tally reaches 38 lakh-mark

Five most affected states by total tally of cases are Maharashtra (825,739), Andhra Pradesh (455,531), Tamil Nadu (439,000), Karnataka (361,341), and Uttar Pradesh (235,757).

A total of 11,72,179 samples were collected for COVID-19 testing on Wednesday, taking the total number of samples tested for coronavirus in the country to 4,55,09,380, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) informed.
