BJP President JP Nadda is all set to launch the party’s 'Rath Yatra' in West Bengal’s Nadia district today (February 6). Meanwhile, the youth wing of the Trinamool Congress will also launch its biggest rally in the district with 10,000 two-wheelers and tableaus on the same day.

JP Nadda will launch the two-day roadshow, 'paribartan yatra' (journey for change), at Nabadwip at 3.30 pm on Saturday. Nadda's mega roadshow will pass through all 15 assembly constituencies in Nadia in two days.

Several top BJP leaders will arrive in West Bengal during the month-long campaign which will start from Nabadwip on Saturday. The party is also planning to launch similar yatras from Coochbehar, Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas, Jhargram and Tarapith in Birbhum between February 6 and 11.

At the same time, TMC’s bike rally will follow the same route in 6 out of 15 assembly constituencies. Like the BJP's program, the Trinamool has also named their counter program. This bike rally has been named as ‘Janasamarthan Yatra’.

Naturally, there is a possibility of unrest if the workers and supporters of the two opposition political parties come face to face on the same road. Apart from that, there will be traffic problems due to two huge processions.

A district police official, who did not want to be named, said, "Many people from different areas of India, including the surrounding districts, will take part in these two programs." Due to this, traffic congestion may occur in different areas of the district. Our main concern is about National Road No. 34.”

Meanwhile, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh has said that the Rath Yatra will be a game-changer in West Bengal politics as it will kick off a wave of support in favour of the BJP.
