Tollywood actor Rudranil Ghosh has just left the TMC and joined the BJP. This time, the Consumer Protection Department recommended an investigation against him. Sadhan Pandey, the minister of the concerned department, said that the move was based on a complaint lodged by a person. Meanwhile, Rudranil has counter-accused him.

The move comes amid a letter from a man seeking the post of commissioner of the Right to Public Service. In 2015, Rudranil Ghosh was made the Commissioner of Right to Public Service. He received 2.5 lakh rupees a month as salary for the post. His term ended in December last year. However, before the expiration of the term, a person gave a letter to the right to information.

The letter came to the Consumer Protection Office a few days ago. After that, Consumer Protection Minister Sadhan Pandey recommended Nabanna (state secretariat) to investigate the matter.

In this regard, BJP leader Rudranil Ghosh said, “I am waiting to hear all these comments. If a person leaves TMC and joins another political party then he will be called corrupted, it will also be said that he didn’t do any work. He cheated. All these have become part of the routine.”

Locket Chatterjee, a BJP MP from Hooghly, stood by Rudranil’s side. She said, “If anyone leaves the TMC, the party files a case against them or starts an investigation. This proves that the ruling party is afraid that good people are leaving the party.”
