Bengal BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ on Saturday (February 13) witnessed violence in Birbhum’s Ilambajar. The BJP has blamed the TMC-backed miscreants for the development. BJP leader and MP Rupa Ganguly claimed that flowers mixed with chemical were thrown at her during the procession by the TMC miscreants.

According to BJP sources, a man threw flowers from the side of the road in Mangalkot around 10 pm on Saturday when the BJP was taking out the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ procession. Rupa Ganguly alleged that she had blisters in her throat as soon as the flowers were thrown at her.

However, the BJP leader did not lodge any complaint with the Mangalkot police station or the state police. The incident on Saturday night, however, was not immediately known.

Rupa Ganguly complained from the meeting in Kalna on Sunday, “There was something mixed in the flower which was thrown to me during the Parivartan Yatra. Maybe a chemical. I don't know exactly what it is. Since I had my face down, the flower stuck in my throat without falling on my face. There is a blister in my neck.”
