TMC, Left and Congress criticize PM Modi’s 'match-fixing' remark

The Trinamool Congress (TMC), the Left and the Congress criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he accused the three parties of getting into a “match-fixing” arrangement to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Bengal polls.  

While addressing a BJP rally in Haldia, PM Modi said, “Our fight in Bengal is not only with the TMC but also with their hidden friends. The TMC is into a match-fixing with the Left and the Congress.”

Senior TMC leader Saugata Roy rubbished the allegation of PM Modi’s “match-fixing.” He said, ““What Modi said is baseless and impossible. I have proof that the BJP had a secret arrangement with the Left in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.”
