IAF does an 'Elephant Walk' with 75 fighter aircraft (PHOTOS)

As part of the celebration of 75 years of Independence from British rule, the Indian Air Force on Tuesday carried out an 'Elephant Walk' with a fleet of 75 fighter aircraft.

As part of the celebration of 75 years of Independence from British rule, the Indian Air Force on Tuesday carried out an 'Elephant Walk' with a fleet of 75 fighter aircraft. 

Taking part in the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' initiative, the Indian Air Force rolled out its fighter aircraft, including the newly-procured Rafale jets, out onto the tarmac.

The IAF said that the celebration was marked with swift and lethal charge.

The IAF took to Twitter to post, "Gusts of Rafales, Prowl of Jaguars. IAF commemorated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with a 75 aircraft Elephant Walk. Swift and Lethal 75@75. Stay tuned for more..."

On August 15, the IAF had conducted a tri-services skydiving demonstration with 75 skydivers at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police conducted a 1626-km cycle rally from Gogra (Hot Springs) in Ladakh to Rajghat in Delhi (Via Leh-Manali). Few days back, the rally was flagged off ITBP DIG Sandeep Khosla.

The cyclists will have to cross 3 mountain ranges and at least seven passes. The first phase to Kullu (682 KMs) will complete in 14 days. The rally will terminate on October 2 at Rajghat

In order to commemorate 75 years of Independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March had launched 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
