For his indomitable spirit and bravery during the violent confrontation with the Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley on June 15 last year, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday felicitated Indian Army officer Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei, who hails from Senapati district of the state.
During the brawl, Capt Rangnamei led his soldiers bravely.
Singh felicitated the officer at his official residence in Imphal and said, "It is an honour to meet Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati, Manipur of 16 Bihar, leading his men in Galwan during the confrontation against the Chinese PLA. We are always indebted to soldiers like him who is leading in the front for the safety and security of the nation."
