Kannada TV actress Chethana Raj passed away at the age of 21. As per a report, the TV star died after undergoing plastic surgery at a private hospital in Bengaluru.

The reports suggest that the TV celebrity was brought to the hospital on Monday morning (May 16) and had a 'fat-free' procedure. The actress reportedly faced slight changes in her health during the evening hours as water started accumulating in her lungs.

According to insiders, the actress didn't tell her parents about the procedure and instead went to the hospital with her companions. However, she had complications that led to her death.

According to the story, the late actress' parents are now claiming that the doctor's incompetence caused their daughter's premature death. The late actress' parents filed a police complaint against the hospital committee at a local police station. Chethana's corpse is still at the hospital. Who was Chethana Raj? 
Chethana Raj was most known for her performances in Geetha and Doresani, two daily soap operas. On May 16, she chose Shetty's Cosmetic Centre in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, for 'fat-free' cosmetic surgery.

The procedure, however, did not proceed as anticipated. Chethana was transported to Kaade Hospital at 5.30 p.m. by anaesthetist Melvin and the physicians who conducted the plastic surgery, who threatened to treat her as if she had experienced a cardiac arrest. Chethana could not be revived after doctors at Kaade Hospital attempted CPR for 45 minutes. In his complaint to the inspector of Basaveshwaranagar Police Station, ICU intensivist Dr Sandeep stated that Chethana was confirmed dead at 6.45 p.m. He also said that Shetty's Cosmetic Centre physicians were aware that Chethana had died.

Chethana did not tell her parents about the procedure, according to sources. Her friends accompanied her to the hospital. However, she had complications that led to her death.

Chethana's uncle Rajappa, speaking to IndiaToday.in, stated, "She is the daughter of my younger brother and has appeared in Kannada television serials. Someone had advised her to lose weight since she seemed to be overweight. As a result, she went to Shetty Hospital to get the extra fat removed. The hospital did not have an ICU, therefore the procedure had to be done elsewhere. Water collected in her lungs after the procedure. They then sent her to a local hospital, where she was confirmed 'brought dead.'"
