In the radio interview, the Tamasha actor had said he was nervous and shy while shooting a steamy scene with Aishwarya, but then, she broke the ice and had said they were actors and need to perform as demanded.

A source close to the family has told Asian Age, "There are four very professional actors in the Bachchan family, and they know what professionalism is all about. There's absolutely no objection to whatever scenes contained in the film. But why is Ranbir making these embarrassing comments about hitting 'mauke pe chauka?'

She's one of India's most talented and respected women. I will be forever grateful to her for her contribution to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I could not have disrespected her like that."

Later, Ranbir Kapoor explained and clarified his stand that he respected Aishwarya. In an interview with PTI he said,  "Aishwarya is such a superb actor and also a family friend.
