Shruti Haasan is the daughter of superstar Kamal Haasanand actress Sarika. She also has a younger sister named Akshara Haasan. Shruti opened up about her parents getting divorced when she was still a teenager.

Shruti said that she was glad that her parents parted their ways because she feels that if two people are not getting along, no reason should force them to do so.

"I was just excited for my parents to live their own lives. I was glad they separated as I do not think two people who are not getting along should get along for some reason. They continue to be wonderful parents. I am particularly close to my dad. My mum is doing well and is a part of our lives. It panned out for the best,' added Shruti.

Shruti believes that they are uniquely beautiful people but were not beautiful together anymore. That does not take away their beauty as human beings. "When they separated, I was very young, and it was effortless. They were happier apart than they were together," Shruti added.

Shruti has been working on her projects during the pandemic. She recently uploaded a picture of how she has converted her sauna into a dubbing studio. In another interview, she even mentioned that she is an independent woman who takes care of her finances and does not depend on her parents.
