The Selvamani household is in a celebratory mood. Anshu Malika Selvamani just created history by becoming the first Indian student to win the 'Herman B Wells Distinguished Senior Award' from Indiana University, a very prestigious honour.

Anshu bagged the top student award.
Anshu Malika studies Computer Science at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University. The university gives this award to the best student showing both academic brilliance and leadership skills. Anshu is the first Indian ever to get it.
Anshu recently graduated with 'Highest Distinction'. A proud Roja shared her joy on social media, calling her daughter's success the best and most unforgettable Mother's Day gift. She wrote, 'This is the greatest Mother's Day gift in my life'.
This isn't Anshu Malika's first big win. She has a shelf full of awards, including the Maureen Biggers Leadership Award for Equity and Technology and the Luddy Academic Excellence Award. She was also a Founders Scholar and made the Dean's List, besides winning the Global Entrepreneur Award 2024 and Global Impact Advocate Award 2025.
