Actor Dhanush is back on the big screen after finding success with Thiruchitrambalam. His brother Selvaraghavan is directing his most recent film, Naane Varuvean. The brothers' fourth project as actor and director together is the film. Dhanush will play two characters in the psychological action thriller film.

The anticipation for this psychological thriller, which debuted today, September 29, is insane. Dhanush and Selvaraghavan collaborated on the script for Naane Varuvean, which features both of them. This is a confluence of unexpected events that nobody anticipated.

Dhanush has written a movie twice, most recently for this one. Prior to it, he wrote and directed his first film, Pa. Paandi. Given the subject and the director, Dhanush's writing for the movie creates an odd buzz.

Because Ponniyin Selvan 1 had gotten so much attention, the movie didn't receive as much promotion. Despite not opening on the same day, the historical fiction opens tomorrow. It will be interesting to watch whether this affects Naane Varuvean's box office results.

In an interview, producer Kalaipuli Thanu said "I have watched Naane Varuvean 15 times. I never watch my films this many times." The producer is known for his blockbuster hits such as Kandukondein Kandukondein, Kaakha Kaakha, Thuppaki, Theri, and Asuran among others.

In a recent interview, the producer of Naane Varuvean, Kalaipuli S Thanu, disclosed that the Singapore censor board, which screened the film, referred to Naane Varuvean as "Selvaraghavan's return." Umair Sandhu, a well-known social media user associated with the foreign censor board, has added to this by posting his critique of Naane Varuvean to his tales. It states:

Naane Varuvean has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music and features Indhuja Ravichandran, Elli Avram, among others. The movie meets Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: Part One (PS-I) at the Tamil box office.
