The survival of love marriages in the film industry is rare. One such couple among the lot, is Suriya and Jyothika who are leading a happy life.
They can be called as an ideal couple. Not only has Jyothika been the leading actress for biggies like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, she has starred opposite the recent generation of Simbhu and Dhanush. But she has romanced Suriya the maximum number of times on screen.

Their introduction started as a friendship which led to love and then culminated into marriage. The couple is blessed with two children named Diya and Dev.
After a long hiatus Jyothika returned to acting with the 36 Vayadhinile film.
In an old interview, she said that there are very few men with such good qualities as Suriya.
She confessed that till date she didn’t even give a cup of coffee to Suriya. He never asked her to do any work either.
She also said that if her son Dev has even half the qualities of Suriya it would be enough for her.
It can be noted that in many instances Suriya openly appreciated Jyothika saying that he is lucky to have her as his wife.
