Indian skipper Virat Kohli continues to have a shaky form in England, while his side has had a mixed show in the ongoing five-Test series for the Pataudi Trophy. As the fourth Test begins on Thursday, he will have a strenuous task at hand to ensure that India comes out on top.
Meanwhile, on the eve of the fourth Test, Kohli and India head coach Ravi Shastri was a part of a launch ceremony at the team hotel in London. During the event, Kohli was asked by reporters about his relationship with Shastri.
To the question, Kohli replied that their relationship was built on mutual respect and trust, which has helped them transform the team to a side that every team wants to beat, reports PTI. Kohli asserted that they had envisioned the same since Day 1, and along with the talent the side possesses, they have achieved it.
The event also saw Shastri making his debut as an author, as he launched his book 'Stargazing: The Players In My Life'. Speaking on the same, Kohli hoped Shastri would write more such books as he has a lot to share.
Meanwhile, Shastri spoke on the current series and asserted that things would spice up in the final two Tests. He reckoned that he and the skipper were on the same page. And, when that happens, the boys automatically come on the same page, which makes things easier. He considered that the side is here to play positive cricket and not just fill in the numbers, affirming that the series has already been as spicy as expected.
