Nonetheless, he has managed to rise to fame again in the domestic circuit. Playing for Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, the domestic 50-over tournament, Shaw slammed a 152-ball unbeaten 227 against Puducherry on Thursday.

As a result, he has now scored the highest domestic List-A score by an Indian. He has gone past the previous record of 212 by Kerala's Sanju Samson, who scored the same against Goa in 2019.

Shaw has also become the eighth Indian to score a double hundred in the domestic List-A game. It was his maiden career double century in the format, as he smashed 32 fours and five sixes, besides scoring his 200 off just 142 deliveries.

Furthermore, it was also Shaw's second century of the tournament this season, with the first coming against Delhi. It was also the highest List-A score by a captain, surpassing the previous best of an unbeaten 222 by Graeme Pollock.

Overall, Shaw has become the second player to become a part of a List-A game with a score of more than 450 runs. Also, he has hot the second most fours in a men's List-A game. He is also the third-highest List-A scorer from India, including One-Day Internationals.
