CSK's struggle with the bat continuesWhat used to be one of the strengths of the yellow brigade has proven to be fatal this season. Even after MS Dhoni said (in the post-match presentations) that the batsmen are not really doing up to the mark, the team still has little addressed their weakness. The stumble show continued even against the Royals, as none of the batsmen, except Ravindra Jadeja (35 of 30 balls), could have a show with the bat.

Royals ball magicThe slow pitch assisted the bowlers and RR players made the full use of it. All the players were flawless in their bowling, leaked little runs, and simultaneously, scalped wickets as well.

Blazing ButtlerDespite a low-chasing total on the board, even RR batsman could not consolidate well with the bat initially. CSK bowlers managed to get the initial major breakthroughs. However, it was Jos Buttler, who shouldered the responsibility for his team just when it was needed the most. Alone, he smashed 70 runs off just 48 balls (seven fours and two sixes) and partnered well with skipper Steve Smith to drive Royals to the victory
