IPL 2020: Dubai to host Final and Qualifier 1, Abu Dhabi hosts Eliminator and Qualifier 2

The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League is the third edition of the tournament being played overseas, and the second edition of it being hosted in the United Arab Emirates. It is also the second instance that the tournament is entirely being played outside India.

The 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) is being played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) across three venues. Meanwhile, the IPL Governing Council has confirmed the venues for the playoffs of the tournament.

As per the iplt20.com, Dubai would play host to Qualifier 1 and the final, with the latter being played on November 10. Meanwhile, the Eliminator, followed by Qualifier 2, would be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. All the matches would have the start time of 7.30 pm (IST), as the dates for the remaining fixtures would be announced soon.

The tournament is being played in the UAE owing to the tough circumstances in India, surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the third edition of the tournament being played overseas, and the second instance of it being played entirely outside India.

Besides the playoffs, the governing council also confirmed the schedule of the upcoming Women's T20 Challenge. It would be played between November 4-9, with all the matches being hosted in Sharjah. While Match 1, 3 and 4 would be played at 7.30 pm (IST), Match 2 would be played at 3.30 pm (IST).

Women's T20 Challenge fixtures: Nov 4- Supernovas vs Velocity, Nov 5- Velocity vs Trailblazers, Nov 7- Trailblazers vs Supernovas, Nov 9- Final.

This would be the third season of the Women's T20 Challenge. Supernovas are the two-time defending champions of the three-team tournament, which start with two teams in 2018.
