Amit Mishra has played 38 matches for India, which includes 22 Tests and 36 ODIs. He has claimed 76 Test wickets, and 64 in ODIs. He also has a five-wicket haul in Tests, along with a couple of them in the ODIs. He currently plays for Delhi Capitals.

Amit Mishra is one of the prolific Indian spinners, as he has made a name for himself in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While he currently plays for Delhi Capitals (DC), he holds the record of having claimed the most hat-tricks (3) in the tournament.

It has been quite long since we saw Mishra playing for India, while his last game happened to be in February 2017, in a T20I against England. As for Test and ODI, he last played in 2016.

Speaking on his Team India career, Mishra has admitted that he did not get enough chances to prove his worth. However, he made it clear that he holds no grudges, as he is focused on representing DC in the ongoing IPL.

“I don’t know if I am underrated. I used to think too much earlier, so mind used to get diverted. Now, I just focus on my job. To be honest, I didn’t get what I should have, but it’s okay. People know who is Amit Mishra. That’s enough for me. I have to focus on my cricket and bowling, so that is what I do," Mishra told reporters during a press conference ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) tie.

Mishra has so far played 38 international matches, which includes 22 Tests and 36 ODIs, along with 10 T20Is. He has been heavily effective in Test cricket, having claimed 76 wickets. In IPL, he has scalped 157 wickets in 148 matches, at an economy of 7.33, including three four-for and a five-for.

Meanwhile, Mishra was also all praise for his Haryana teammate Rahul Tewatia, who was the star for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). He labelled him as a great prospect for Haryana and Indian cricket.

“He (Rahul Tewatia) has been focusing on his batting. The way he played yesterday, it is good for the future of Haryana. I want him to keep performing like this in future. I had a little bit of expectation that he can (play this way), but I didn’t expect that he will go on to play the innings he actually did. Sometimes your focus is so much that things start happening as you want. It was an innings which we don’t see often. It is one of the best innings of his life so far," added Mishra.

DC are all set to play against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next game on Tuesday. They are currently placed on the top of the table.
