India has suffered twin opening losses in the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Dilip Vengsarkar is not impressed with the body language of the Indians, while he is also confused by the mysterious exclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin.

It has been a sorry ride so far for Team India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The former champion has suffered losses in its opening two games, while it is on the verge of getting knocked out early. India's campaign now heavily relies on wins in the remaining three games and other results going in its favour.

Meanwhile, former Indian selector Dilip Vengsarkar does not seem impressed by the body language the Indians are reflecting in the tournament. While the Indians' morale seems down at the moment, another debatable thing happens to be the exclusion of veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, whose exclusion seems to be mysterious as per him.

Speaking to PTI, Vengsarkar said that the Indians look dulled right now, which he had not seen in a long time, as he wondered if it was due to the bio-bubble fatigue. He also termed India's performance in every department as lacklustre, while the energy among the players seems to be missing.

Terming Ashwin's exclusion a mystery, he wondered why he had been axed for such a long time? He recalled Ashwin's accolades of 600-plus international wickets and being the senior-most players, besides feeling that his drop should be a matter of investigation. He was also baffled that Ashwin did not get a game in the Test series in England a couple of months back, asking why he was selected in the first place?

He further analysed by stating that the team is too dependent on its top three batters, while the entire team is in trouble when they fail to fire. Also, he believed that with Hardik Pandya not bowling regularly, the all-rounder is under pressure to contribute as a batter. Moreover, he reckoned that the Indians are finding it difficult to clear the bigger boundaries in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as having the same in the IPL would help.
