Rukmini Vasanth has finally spoken out on the viral deepfake videos and photographs. She has also taken legal action against individuals who created the viral assets.

A few days back, a video of Kantara: Chapter 1 actress Rukmini Vasanth donning a bikini shocked the internet. Also, since the beginning of Rukmini Vasanth's career, she has not performed a glamour or skin display in any film, not even photoshoots. The actress, who is usually traditional, was spotted in this daring avatar, which surprised everyone.

However, numerous X users suspected that the image was made by AI, and the actress has now responded vehemently to the situation. It is important to note that this is not the first time an actress's deepfake photo or video has gone viral. Actresses Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif have previously been victimised by deepfakes.

Rukmini opts for legal action. The actress resorted to Instagram and posted, "'My team and I have come across certain Al-generated images being circulated online claiming to be me. I want to state clearly that these images are entirely fake and fabricated. The creation and circulation of such manipulated content is deeply irresponsible and a serious violation of privacy. We are taking this matter seriously and initiating the necessary legal and cybercrime action against those involved in creating and spreading these images. Requesting everyone to refrain from sharing or engaging with such content.'
