Mammootty and Mohanlal, the biggies of Malayalam film industry met recently, and they shared selfies on their official social media account. These selfies have since gone viral online and fans have started to wonder what the two stars are up to.
Fans of Lalettan and Mammukka have gone gaga over the the selfies of their favourite actors and have started sharing and commenting on the pictures. The two stars did not post about the occasion, or why they had met. Mohanlal captioned his image as, “With Mammukka :),” while Mammootty shared the selfie and wrote, “With Lal.”
While the megastar posted the image with the caption, 'with Mohanlal', Mohanlal captioned the post, 'with Mammukka.'
The selfies were taken when the two actors arrived for the executive meeting of the Association of Malayalam Movie Actors Association (AMMA) in Kochi on June 29. Mohanlal sported a new hairstyle in the pictures.
Interestingly, during a recent interview with Times of India, Mohanlal had said that there has never been any professional rivalry between the two. “Roles that come to Mammukka are not meant for me and vice versa. I would never say we have competed against each other unless we are acting in the same movie and are putting tour de force performances to outwit each other,” he added.
The two stars are currently busy with their upcoming movies. Mohanlal, who was last seen in 1971 Beyond Border, is awaiting the release of his film Villain. The actor is currently working on Lal Jose directorial Velipaadinte Pusthakam. He is also looking forward to his film Odiyan, which will mark Shrikumar Menon’s debut as a feature film director.
On the other hand, Mammootty who was last seen in Puthan Panam is awaiting the release of his film Citylights and is also working on Ajai Vasudev’s directorial titled Masterpiece.
