David Kharsati, Meghalaya BJP General Secretary, recently had convened a meeting of the party members, and before commencing the meet, he asked the party members to pay respects to the departed soul of the actor Vinod Khanna. This behaviour has been criticised by all across the country. The party later issued a clarification in this regard.
“We wrongly observed two-minute silence, and we are extremely sorry for it. We wish Vinod Khanna a long and healthy life," he said in the clarification.
The veteran actor was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on March 31 after he suffered severe dehydration. Meanwhile, in a big hope to all those who love Vinod Khanna and praying for his good health, the hospital authorities have issued a statement that the actor was recovering and will be discharged soon.
Recently, the veteran actor’s photo taken in the hospital with his wife had gone viral on social media, making people react in shock.
