Vijay's father confirms son's divorce with Amala Paul

Since last week, the news of Amala Paul and AL Vijay heading towards separation has been doing the rounds. Earlier this week there was news about her shifting to Kochi from Chennai and signing movies. 

Vijay's family, however, wanted her to concentrate on family life and according to a leading news channel, Vijay’s father revealed how her decision to continue acting even post marriage had upset Vijay, especially since Amala had agreed to stop working once they got married. 

Paul though has been on a film signing spree, and this created a rift between the married couple. 

AL Alagappan said, “The news you heard about them getting divorced is 100% accurate and will be done legally.” 

A source close to the couple said that they had stated lifestyle issues. 

Apparently, Amala’s over-friendliness with a married Tamil actor has caused discord in the relationship. 

Amala and Vijay got together during the filming of Deiva Thirumagal. The couple dated for three years before marriage. 

Amala's latest movie Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum has been out also starring Jayasurya and Kunchacko Boban. Amala will be next seen in Dhanush's Vada Chennai.
