Vijay writes open letter on Amala Paul separation

So far various rumours have been making the rounds about the reasons behind their separation. But the couple did not speak on the issue.

Now, after rumours blamed his family for the separation, Vijay has opened up about the divorce and other rumours.

Earlier, rumours stated that Vijay’s family was not happy with Amala continuing her career in the films after their marriage. This was considered as the main reason behind their separation.

But in his open letter, Vijay has rubbished this and said, I have directed nine films and always projected women as empowered and strong. So, how can a person who has such convictions get separated for the reasons stated above.

I have supported Amala’s dreams as far as I could. I never thought this would happen. The separation is painful, says his letter.
