Veteran film actor Om Puri passed away after suffering a heart attack on Friday morning. 
He was 66.

Om Puri's notable act in the 2014 American comedy-drama film The Hundred-Foot Journey won him rave reviews. Puri, an FTII graduate, won the National Film Award for Best Actor for Arohan in 1982.

Apart from Bollywood, Om Puri has also been a part of Pakistani, British and Hollywood films. The veteran actor is also a recepient of Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India.
