Fans of Ajith have got a Pongal gift from the makers after the news of his upcoming film Valimai's overseas rights being sold surfaced. The interesting thing about the film is, the makers are yet to unveil the first look.

The intense cop action thriller of Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar 'Valimai' dominated Twitter trends in India after fans went berserk over the news of his latest film's overseas rights being sold out for a big amount.

Although the makers have kept the details of the sales a secret, the amount is said to be the highest for Ajith's film so far.

Valimai maker Boney Kapoor must be a happy man as there is an indication of guarantee return of his investment going by the craze the fans and film lovers show to Ajith's film after United India Exports bagged the rights for a big deal.

Ajith in Valimai will once again be seen as a cop after his role in Mankatha, Aarambam and Yennai Arindhaal enthralled the audience.

Valimai is being directed by H Vinoth. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music. The film shoot was halted recently after Ajith suffered a minor injury on the sets. The makers are yet to give any update on the resumption of the shoot.  However, sources in the industry say, the makers are likely to reveal the first look during January 2 as a Pongal gift to fans.
