Sandalwood drug case: Former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Adam Pasha arrested by NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on Tuesday arrested former Bigg Boss Kannada Season 6 contestant Adam Pasha. It is alleged that Adam had purchased drugs from peddler Anikha D who was one of the first people to be arrested in the case.


Bengaluru: Former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant, stage dancer and Bengaluru’s first drag queen Adam Pasha has been arrested by the NCB.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Bengaluru zone, on Tuesday arrested Bigg Boss Kannada Season 6 contestant Adam Pasha under the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

Adam Pasha is alleged to have purchased drugs from peddler Anikha D, who was first arrested in August by the NCB.

Amit Ghawate, NCB, Bengaluru Zonal Director, said "a lot of transactions had happened between Pasha and Anikha. During the investigation Adam Pasha has confirmed that she has been taking MDMA for more than two years."

Adam Pasha has been remanded in NCB custody till November 3.

In August, this year the NCB arrested Anikha and two of her associates Anoop M and Ravindran R. They are suspected to have supplied drugs to many celebrities, including Kannada film actors.

Earlier, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru City Police had served a notice to Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi’s wife Priyanka Alva asking her to appear in the city on Tuesday.

The notice had been sent to Priyanka Alva a few days after CCB officials raided Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai residence in search of his absconding brother-in-law Aditya Alva.
