The film is the fourth instalment of Raaz film series produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films.
Emraan Hashmi plays the lead role. In an interview, Mahesh Bhatt said, “There can be no Raaz without Emraan. And ‘Raaz Reboot’ will be a quantum jump forward, both regarding content and presentation, from the previous film.”
According to the media reports, Emraan plays a fashion photographer who has reformed himself after a stint with drugs and alcohol abuse.
The film also stars Gaurav Arora, who will essay the role of a debonair banker who heads the East European Finance Consortium. The movie was shot in Transylvania.
The shoot began in late January 2016 and is scheduled to release at the end of July 2016. Emraan and Kannada Actress Kriti Kharbanda will be in lead roles. Raaz Reboot will be a remake of the 1976 Hollywood hit, The Omen.
