Prithviraj to remake Padmarajan's Koodevide

Synopsis

Prithviraj announced that his next Bollywood project is the remake of Padmarajan's 'Koodevide' He had acted in two Bollywood movies Aiyyaa and Aurangazeb Rumours are that Manju Warrier will play the female lead 

After Aiyyaa and Aurangazeb, Mollywood actor Pithviraj Sukumaran is re-entering Bollywood with the remake of Padmarajan's Koodevide. The actor announced that the project is in the initial stage of discussion and pre-production works are still on. 
 

The 1983 movie was directed by the late Padmarajan and Mammootty. Suhasini and Rahman played the lead roles. 
 

Rumours are that Manju Warrier will play the female lead. Priya, who assisted ace director Manirathnam, will direct the movie while Bijoy Nambiar will produce it.  Prithviraj is currently filming for '7th Day' after which he will join the sets of Anti-Christ. 
 

Film Koodevide was based on Vaasanthi's Tamil Noval Moongil Pookkal (Illikkadukal Poothappol). Padmarajan wrote the screenplay. Rahman debuted in the film while it paved way for Suhasini to enter Mollywood. The film was produced by Prem Prakash.
