Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya confirms separation from husband Soundarya has been married to Ashwin Ramkumar since 2010
Recently Soundarya tweeted “News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year, and divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family’s privacy.” On the other hand, Ashwin has remained tight-lipped. He even denied commenting when asked by the media on the matter.
Earlier, news suggested that the high-profile couple had filed for a divorce by mutual consent at the family court.
Soundarya and Ashwin tied the knot in 2010 after a courtship of over four years. The wedding was attended by the who's who of the film industry, politics, and business. They have a one-year-old son, Ved.
Soundarya entered the film industry as a graphic designer and has worked in Tamil films such as Baba, Sandakozhi and Sivaji among others.
She also directed India’s first motion capture film, Kochadaiiyaan, starring her superstar father. Soundarya is the founder of Ocher Picture Productions.
