Dawn reported that "Qandeel's official Facebook page that displayed her photos and videos is no longer available, and her account on Instagram, also owned by Facebook, has also been deleted."
However, as per Facebook policies, any account which belongs to a deceased person is automatically made into a memorialised account where friends and family can share memories on the individual's timeline.
According to Facebook's help centre, "Pages with an individual admin whose account was memorialised will be removed from Facebook if we receive a valid request."
Qandeel Baloch came in the limelight with her 'infamous' posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, which were objectionable.
Qandeel was drugged and strangled by her brother Waseem on the evening of 15 July at her family home in Multan province in Pakistan. She was 26. Later her brother Waseem was arrested by police in Dera Ghazi Khan. Waseem then confessed to killing his sister in name of 'honour'.
