Mollywood joins hands with Bollywood for Nivin Pauly's Moothon

Actor-turned-director Geetu Mohan Das has recently announced her ambitious project starring actor Mollywood heartthrob Nivin Pauly titled Moothon, with a crew including Bollywood’s renowned filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Aanand L Rai. 

Aanand L Rai has directed Bollywood movies like Tanu Weds Manu: Returns, Nil Battey Sannata, Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa. About Anurag Kashyap, we all know his outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema. 

Who is Geetu Mohandas :

She was an actress who worked in Mollywood as well as Bollywood. Later she became a director. Her film Liar's Dice has received two National Film Awards, premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was chosen as India's entry for the Oscars 2015. Her husband Rajeev Ravi's gangster drama called Kammatipaadam was a hit critically and commercially.

Geetu took to her social networking pages yesterday to reveal the movie's first poster. Later, on movie fans started talking about Nivin Pauly‘s unrecognisable avatar on the poster and we are still rubbing our eyes, asking ourselves if that is indeed Nivin?

"Hello Friends, I'm not good with big announcements since we have always done things quietly. So this is a first. With another new member in our family... with whom my collaboration to write the dialogues was simply inspiring... Now as we learned the truth, out brain is racing to know more about the movie. What this movie going to be about? What will Nivin Pauly’s character be like? When will the movie launch etc.

If you check the poster carefully, you can see that Nivin - the cute looking actor from Bangalore days - sports scary eyebrows, a thick beard and a nose ring and stud earring.  

The poster indicates that it might be a gangster film set in an urban background. 

Nivin shared his excitement on Twitter, being part of the team. "New Team, New Learning, New Experience !! All excited to associate with this vibrant team. Looking forward..!! (sic)." 

Kollywood star Dhanush also tweets, "All the best to my most fav @aanandlrai ,my good friend Nivin and Geethu Mohandoss for this project. Looks very interesting. #moothon"

Nivin Pauly is currently busy with a romantic film opposite Trisha, called Hey Jude. The actor also has three upcoming Tamil films.
