Mohanlal's role in next Major Mahadevan film under wraps

Major Ravi's upcoming film is a prequel to Mollywood's Major Mahadevan franchise. It is already in the news because of Tollywood actor Rana Daggubati being roped into play a major role.

And while Mohanlal will play the movie's main role, interestingly this he won't return as Major Mahadevan. 

Major Ravi said in an interview, "The superstar will be seen in three separate appearances, but I don't want to divulge the details of his roles right now." 

He added, "Mohanlal will be preparing for the role in the movie, which has several battle tank sequences. We will start shooting once he gives a go ahead."

The movie is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. The shooting locations include Kerala, Rajasthan and Uganda.
