Varalaxmi had impressed in her combination scenes with Mammootty in last year's 'Kasaba', directed by debutant Nithin Renji Panicker. And it seems the two actors will share screen space again soon.
The upcoming project, which is yet to be titled, will be directed by Ajay Vasudev of 'Rajadhi Raja' fame, and is also expected to have Unni Mukundan and Mahima Nambiar in important roles. Written by Uday Krishna, the film is set to go on floors from April 17.
Varalaxmi was recently in the news for walking out of Jayaram-Samuthirakani team's 'Aakasha Mittayi', stating she cannot work with male chauvinists.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is riding high on the success of his latest release 'The Great Father', which became the fastest to rake in Rs 20 crore in Mollywood.
