Kotigobba 2 gives tough competition to Tamil, Telugu films

Usually, Tamil and Telugu movies fare better than Kannada films across South India. But breaking that trend, Sudeep’s Kotigobba 2 has touched a chord with a broad audience - collecting ₹20 crore in four days.
The film collected more than ₹5 crore on the day of the release.
Several long holidays in the month also proved to a bonus for the movie.
Kotigobba 2 is being screened in 385 theatres across Karnataka. If it continues to collect money at the same pace, it will break several records, distributors claim.
Kotigobba 2 was also released in Tamil as Mudinja Ivana Pudi.
