Karnataka bags 5 national awards, creates history; here is the complete list of winners

Synopsis

Kannada film Allama won two awards at the 64th National Film Awards Akshay Kumar won his first National Award

 

Allama Kannada film has won two awards-best music director and best makeup. Bapu Padmanabha has been awarded best Music Director award, and NK Ramakrishnan has been felicitated for Best Makeup in the film Allama. The Tulu film Madipu has been awarded the best regional film. Kannada film Reservation also has been awarded best regional film. Manohar has bagged the best child artiste award for his performance in the movie Railway Children.

 

A total of 344 films were on the list.

 

The popular award has been won by Akshay Kumar for the first time as he was awarded the best actor for Rustom. Malayalam heroine Surabhi has won the best actress award for her performance in Minnaminungu. Zaira Wasim of Dangal has won best-supporting actress award.
