Kajal Aggarwal to romance Thala Ajith for the first time

Kajal has become one of the top heroines in both Tamil and Telugu cine industries over the years. She has shared screen space with superstars Suriya, Dhanush, Vijay and Vishal. 

And now, for the first time, Kajal will share screen space with superstar Ajith for Sathya Jyothi Films' AK 57.

According to an entertainment website report, many actresses like Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia were earlier considered for the lead role, but the makers have finally zeroed on Kajal.  

A source close to the filmmakers said "For now, Kajal is in talks for the film. The actress has almost been confirmed, though she is yet to sign the project." 

The source added "Various other South actresses - Ritika Singh, Anushka and Tamannaah - were proposed earlier for the lead role. But now, it looks like Kajal has bagged the lead role". 

If the actress gives her nod, it will be exciting to see the chemistry between 45-year-old Ajith and the 31-year-old actress for the first time, as the duo have never worked as a pair before. 

AK 57 will also have actor Karunakaran sharing screen space with Ajith for the first time. The movie is a thriller directed by Siva, with music by young sensation Anirudh Ravichander. 

Meanwhile, Kajal is also shooting for Kavalai Vendam and Garuda.
