Theri grosses 160 crore, biggest blockbuster of the year
Synopsis
Atlee, the director of Theri, is on cloud nine as his movie has risen to the top position in Kollywood.
It is only the third film for the 30-year-old director. He says it is a proud moment for him. His earlier film, Nayanthara-Arya starrer Raja Rani, too ran well in theatres.
So, out of 108 movies released this year in Kollywood, so far Siva Karthikeyan’s Rajini Murugan, Madhavan’s Irudhi Suttru (Saala Khadoos in Hindi) Vijay Antony’s Pichaikkaran (Bichagadu in Telugu dubbed version) were declared super hits.
Vijay fans are certainly rejoicing over the success of Theri. And of course, it is trending on twitter.
