Hyderabad rape case lands 38 celebs including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan in trouble for revealing victim's name

In a shocking development, a case has been filed against top celebrities of Bollywood and Tollywood after they tweeted in support of the Hyderabad rape and murder victim. The celebrities have been accused of revealing the victim's name which is an offense in itself.

Doing the right thing in the wrong way may also land people in trouble. As evidence to this, 38 celebrities including Bollywood's biggies Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Anupam Kher, Rakul Preet Singh, Farhan Akthar, Salman Khan, Telugu industry's Allu Sirish, Ravi Teja, Charmme Kaur and others may face arrest.

The Delhi-based advocate Gautham Gulati allegedly filed cases against these celebrities demanding their arrest for going public with the victim's identity.

A case has been filed in this regard at Sabzi Mandi Police station in the national capital under IPC section 228A. Further, the advocate also filed the petition in the Tees Hazari Court highlighting the negligence on part of celebrities and being insensitive to the issue and accused them of indulging in this act despite legal restrictions on revealing the name of victims.

The celebrities venting their ire on the shameful incident on November 18, 2019, taking to social media. While some like Salman Khan reportedly took out the victim's name, others like Anupam Kher also tagged Union Home Minister Amit Shah and demanded a death sentence for accused persons involving in rape cases.

The advocate took notice of this and dragged the celebrities into legal trouble for showing negligence.

Two years ago, the entire nation went into deep shock after a 26-year old veterinary doctor was kidnapped, raped and burned to death to destroy evidence.

Following nationwide outrage and campaign under the 'Disha Rape Case', the Hyderabad police solved the case quickly by identifying the criminals through CCTV and other evidence. Later, encountered the arrested accused while they made an 'attempt to flee' police custody during the spot visit.
