Aamir Khan's soon to be released 'Dangal' is making all kinds of news nowadays but not too many are aware of this Bhojpuri movie released 40 years back with the same title. The film was directed by Rati Kumar starring Sujit Kumar and Prema Narayan.
However, the movie was a sort of milestone as it gifted one of the most successful musical pair to the Hindi film industry. Both Nadeem Saifi and Shravan Rathod redefined the Bollywood music in the 1990s.
But before 'Dangal', the duo struggled to get their big break in the film industry and till they hit the jackpot with 'Aashiqui' in 1990. For next ten years the pair kept on giving chartbusters 'Saajan', 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin', 'Saathi', 'Phool Aur Kaante', 'Sadak', 'Deewana', 'Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke', 'Dilwale' and 'Raja Hindustani'.
