Marking the birth anniversary of legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday paid tribute to the iconic auteur, highlighting his lasting influence on cinema and literature. Taking to his X handle, Shinde wrote, "On the occasion of his birth anniversary, humble salutations to the Oscar award-winning, internationally renowned Indian film writer, musician, producer, director, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, #BharatRatna Satyajit Ray for his extraordinary contributions to the field of cinema."
