Talking to media, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone said, "I think exactly like I said, you know, I feel angry ki this is happening but at the same time the fact ki action is not being taken, yeh sochne ki baat hai."


At a time when many Bollywood celebrities are voicing and keeping quiet over what is happening in the world, the queen of Bollywood Deepika Padukone visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus to stand up against the attack on JNU students.

She was applauded by many netizens for standing with JNU students, at the same time, many other started threatening her.

Talking to media she said, "I think exactly like I said, you know, I feel angry ki this is happening but at the same time the fact ki action is not being taken, yeh sochne ki baat hai."

Meanwhile, several photos and videos of Deepika from the JNU campus are going viral on social media. Since her visit, many have taken to social media and have been trending #boycottchhapaak on Twitter. Chhapaak is Deepika's upcoming movie which is inspired by the life of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn on January 7 said violence is not a solution to any problem, and the Jawaharlal Nehru University attack is very sad. He added that he is not clear about what transpired inside the university campus on Sunday as news reports gave "conflicting" accounts.
