Blow to Rajini starrer Annaatthe as 4 crew members test positive for COVID-19, shoot stalled

In a bad news for Rajinikanth fans, Annaatthe, his upcoming film's shoot has been stopped after four crew members tested positive for Covid-19. As per reports, both Rajinikanth and Nayanthara are said to be safe.

In a big blow to the makers of Annaatthe, the next project of Sun Pictures starring superstar Rajinikanth, four crew members have been tested for novel coronavirus. As a result, the shoot has been stalled.

As soon as the crew members tested positive after showing symptoms, the rest of the members including Rajinikanth and others were subjected to tests and the reports have come out as negative.

Sun Pictures took to Twitter to share the same and wrote, "During routine testing at #Annaathe shoot 4 crew members have tested positive for Covid19. Superstar @rajinikanth and other crew members have tested negative. To ensure utmost safety #Annaatthe shooting has been postponed.”

The makers had planned the film earlier this year and the shoot was hampered after Covid enforced lockdown was in place and only on December 14 the shoot resumed at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

Apart from Rajinikanth and Nayanthara, Annaatthe's film cast also involves Khushbu, Meena, Soori and others. The film is being directed by ace filmmaker of the new generation Siva.
