Before Mohanlal's Drishyam 2 releases, let's take a stroll back to where it all started

Synopsis

Drishyam 2 trailer has garnered 11 million views since February 6, 2021. Amazon Prime Video always tries to surprise their viewers, so here's what they have planned for the fandom.

A recap of the prequel has been dropped by the streaming platform, which will take fans and audiences seven years back. Georgekutty (Mohanlal) explains what happened on that fateful night in the video and how he left no stone unturned to defend his kin. It ends with Georgekutty asking the audience a question, "how far they would go to protect their family?"

The prequel revolved around a simple family, a husband-wife and their two adorable daughters. The elder one gets into trouble, the man of the house pulls up his sleeves to protect his daughter and his family. Now what happens next will be answered in this movie.

As Mohanlal said in an exclusive interview with Asianet Newsable, "You cannot escape the fear, but Georgekutty has absorbed the fear within himself to cool off his family. But he is ready to fight for his family anytime."

Jeethu Joseph's directorial thriller Drishyam 2 stars Mohanlal in the lead role, along with Meena, Ansiba, Esther, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, and Saikumar in pivotal roles, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvaad Cinemas.

Drishyam 2 will be streaming globally on Amazon Prime Video from February 19, 2021.
