Anurag Kashyap picks this Malayalam flick as 'film of the year'

Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, 'Angamaly Diaries' is a crime drama set in Angamaly and features 86 debutant actors in leading and supporting roles. The film also marks the debut of actor Chemban Vinod Jose as a writer.

Kashyap saw ‘Angamaly Diaries’ at a special screening organised in Mumbai, where the cast and crew of the film were also present.

Impressed by the film, Kashyap made three Instagram posts, hailing the makers and actors for pulling off such an ‘extraordinary’ film.

Kashyap also met veteran Malayalam actress Manju Warrier at the screening, and described the moment as a “dream come true”.
