The 67th National Film Awards that honours and celebrates the prestigious contribution of cinema towards society was handed to the awardees today. The awards which were announced earlier this year are being presented in person at New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan today.

Filmmaker Nitesh Rajan Agnihotri was the Guest Of Honour. He was among the first few celebs who appeared on the red carpet, including the juries for Dadasaheb Falke Awards. Kangana Ranaut received the best actress for her phenomenal performances in two movies; while superstar Rajnikanth will be awarded the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his stupendous contribution to the world of Indian cinema on October 25 (Monday). Chhicchore director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Sajid Nadiadwala dedicated the Best Film Awards to the late Sushant Singh Rajput, who passed away last year.
