Rahul Gandhi: AIADMK, RSS-BJP combine will be decimated

Rahul Gandhi said, "This is an election between AIADMK, RSS, Modi & Shah and the Tamil people. So you are going to see the decimation of the AIADMK, RSS & BJP combine, and the instrument of that decimation will be the Congress DMK alliance."

Rahul Gandhi on Sunday addressed a public rally in Chennai's Shastri Nagar locality during which he accused the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam of succumbing to pressure from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Targetting the AIADMK-BJP combine, Rahul said, "This is an election between AIADMK, RSS, Modi & Shah and the Tamil people. So you are going to see the decimation of the AIADMK, RSS & BJP combine, and the instrument of that decimation will be the Congress DMK alliance."

Claiming that Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy had succumbed to pressure exerted by BJP, Rahul said: "The Chief Minister is forced to bow in front of Amit Shah because of the corruption he has done. Ironically because of the money he has stolen from the Tamil people, he is now trapped."

"For me, an India where Tamil Nadu is forced to bow down is not India, it's something else. Because I understand that the central idea of India is respect for all its languages, people, traditions."

Raking up the language issue, the Wayanad MP said, "I do not want an India where one language is superior to another language or one tradition is superior to another tradition. This is not the India I believe in. Tamil is as important as Bengali, Kannada or Punjabi. For me all these ideas make India."
